Dream becomes a reality..... Having sold our city townhouse we set off to Tasmania in 2014 with our camper to find a piece of clean fertile land with a water source and space to become self-sufficient eventually.
We were delighted to find a magnificent renovated timber farm house set on 15 acres of rolling green hills overlooking Port Huon. The house is known fondly as 'the house that Jack built'. Jack was a dairy farmer producing raw and fermented dairy to the local Huon Valley community in the early 1900's way back before fermenting and 'raw' became fashionable. He was an expert builder as evidenced by the timber garden and chicken sheds. We feel privileged to be the custodians of this land and home and to rear our own animals and grow our own foods in a clean environment. We love the idea of sharing this magnificent part of the world with others. We know that you will see, feel, hear and taste what makes the Huon Valley a unique part of the world. A place to rest and explore and to take in Tasmania's wilderness areas not far from our doorstep. |
Jillaine WilliamsI'm a mother, grandmother and a wife and I've been passionate about nutrition since I was very young. I'm delighted to be able to practice what I love as a natural medicine practitioner.and nutritionist. My favourite pastime now is yachting with my husband.. Growing my own food and becoming self sufficient in semi-retirement will be a dream come true.

Rob WilliamsI've spent all of my life in Brisbane and now I'm looking forward to a slower lifestyle in Tasmania with my darling wife Jillaine. As a lover of the outdoors I appreciate the specular wilderness that Tasmania has to offer. .As a keen yachtsman I'm looking forward to investigating the spectacular waterways of Tasmania's South East.
